Javonte Williams had touchdown runs of eight and five yards on Thursday, helping the Denver Broncos to a 33-10 victory over the New Orleans Saints.

It was a return to Louisiana for Sean Payton, who coached the Saints from 2006-2021.

Bo Nix had 164 yards passing and 75 yards rushing for the Broncos (4-3).

Denver won 389-271 in receiving yards.

It was a fifth straight loss for the Saints (2-5).

With Derek Carr missing a second straight game (oblique), Spencer Rattler was once again the Saints’ starting quarterback.

He had 172 passing yards, but one of his two fumbles was returned 52 yards for a touchdown by Cody Barton.

Rattler was also sacked six times, including one by Nik Bottino, who sacked him for the fifth straight game.

The Saints were without wide receivers Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee).

They were also without tight end Taysom Hill (ribs) for the third straight game.

Former Saints player Wil Lutz made four field goals.

At the half, former star quarterback Drew Brees was honored for his induction into the Saints Hall of Fame.

His career was also highlighted at a dinner, where Payton congratulated the man who was his quarterback for 14 seasons.

Brees finished his career with 80,358 passing yards, trailing only Tom Brady with 89,214.

Brees led the Saints to a Super Bowl victory in February 2010.
